Your website will most likely be found by a visitor through a search engine. Therefore, it is very important to organize the structure and content of your website. This is called Search Engine Optimization or SEO.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can help you end higher up the search results on Google or any other search engine. However, SEO will not help you over night.

1. Technical optimization
We build every website with several technical Search Engine Optimization best practices. We will spare you the technical details, but do want to provide some examples:

Seperate language folders, url-rewriting (check out the link above), Meta tags, CSS templates, Semantisch opgebouwde HTML templates (<H1>, <p>, etc.), Image tagging, etc. are other examples of SEO technical optimizations.

WordPress and Joomla! are also very very SEO compatible.

2. Search engines love new and relevant content
The most important thing for better search results is the content of your website. We can apply all the technicalities, but without the relevant content, it will be a lost effort.

A search engine matches the keywords entered with the words on your (if relevant) website. That is why it is important to define which "search terms" or "keywords" are important for your business.

We embed a piece of code from Google Analytics on all our websites (and all pages). The data can help you define better keywords and adjust the texsts on your website.

3. Your online reputation
The last factor is somewhat difficult to define. Search engines tend to take your online network into account; the sites to which you refer and also the sites which refer to you. The keywords used in referring to your website also have an impact on the search results. Link building is important, but make sure the links are relevant!

The age of your domain name also has an impact to your ‘ranking’ in the search results. The age (the older, the more confident) and the relevancy of the domain name compared to your company are two important factors.
